Legacy Oaks

Legacy Oaks is a warm and welcoming home residents are proud to call their own. The design is modern, industrial, transitional, and high quality which conveys a sense of strength, dignity, and worth. The community gathering spaces have an open floor plan broken up by a glass partition, materials, and saturated colors. Cement-looking tile floors, brick red, burnt orange, black metal, and wood tones fill the open space with warmth and make a statement. Biophilic elements have been included which add another layer of texture, and color, and have health-promoting properties. A large kitchen and island bring residents together to prepare meals, eat, and socialize. Overall, the community rooms are warm, and inviting, encourage conversation, and draw people out to connect in a space that silently proclaims, “You are worth a home you can feel proud of and which supports your dignity.”
The private micro-apartments are comfortable, welcoming, and nurturing spaces. Bold colors and similar styles have been used as in the community spaces, but a cool color palette has been implemented with more streamlined choices in furniture, fixtures, and finishes. A statement color of green, teal, or blue has been used in each of the apartments. The cooler colors evoke feelings of calm, healing, and balance which is important in the personal spaces of vets who may have struggled with mental and physical health issues. White, black, metal, and wood tones have been used throughout the apartments to increase the sense of openness and still provide a feeling of warmth. Art made by veterans and pieces that honor military service add a personal touch that honors the sacrifices made by Legacy Oaks’ residents, as well as adding color and focal points. Biophilic elements have also been added to each set of rooms which helps improve health and wellbeing. Although not as vibrant and lively as the community areas, the private apartments display the same attention to detail and high-quality materials. Every aspect of a resident’s personal space must convey the message that they are resilient, unique, and valuable.
